Final images

I am really happy with my final images, have decided to order them in this way so that it breaks up the poses as the 1st and 3rd are similar. I also wanted to have the magnolia background in between the other two. I feel that these images reflect my research and work well within my theme/idea.

Editing the images

I wanted to manipulate my images quite significantly to create this sense of the model being plastic and quite fake. I removed all major blemishes from her skin including any spots, fine lines or skin blemishes.

Before

In this image along with many of the other's there are creases under the eyes because she is smiling, I decided to use photo shop to remove these line. This makes the face look almost quite odd and unnatural because these lines should appear when smiling. This gives the odd appearance I was trying to create in my images.

I also adjusted the levels and curves in photo shop to improve the appearance of my images.

CONTACT SHEET Lilac Flower dress

These are the contact sheets from my final shoot with the lilac flower dress, I really like the lilac coloured background and think there are a few of these images that work really well.

CONTACT SHEET Bright Pink Dress

These are the contact sheets from the shoot with the Bright pink dress, again I think I could have some really successful images in this dress. I used the magnolia with this background as i felt it would work best.

CONTACT SHEET Coral Dress

These are the contact sheets from the shoot using the coral dress, I shot on both the pink and the magnolia background. I am not as keen on the magnolia coloured background as i am the pink wall paper, on the other hand some of the images on the magnolia background work really well. I think that I have some successful images for this dress.

Before the sync lead...

As I mentioned earlier I was unable to get any device to trigger/sync the lights from stores even though I had booked radio triggers, these are some test shots when I was trying to use the flash gun to trigger the lights. As you can see they are awful! The lighting was either flat, too much or the lights didnt trigger at all.

Hair

I think the hair has improved dramatically compared to my first shoot. I went around to several hair dressers to see how much it would be for them to style the hair for this shoot however the average was around £35-40 even in small salons, and unfortunately I couldnt afford to do this. However I spoke to the make up artist i used and she had some experience doing hair and I also knew Becky was good at hair so between them they styled the hair. I wanted it very big and over the top, i showed them several pictures to use as a source of inspiration.

Becky curled the hair in lots of wringlets, again this is a style seen frequently on beauty queens. The curls also gave the hair volume making it appear bigger.

Callie (MUA) worked the hair to make it big and give it volume, she used backbrushing and created a lifted section (as seen on quite a lot of images i looked at as research).
